When you go to a conference or a trade show you don\u2019t scream out your company\u2019s secrets or the figures on your paycheck. Why would you? And when you find a virus on your computer, you try to fix it immediately, so that it doesn\u2019t harvest any sensitive information.<\/div>\n

So why would anyone willingly submit their deepest personal and business secrets to a big faceless company, on a daily basis?<\/div>\n

\n<\/strong><\/em>Because without email you\u2019re back in the dark ages. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Chances are, you\u2019re telling Google,<\/a> Hotmail,<\/a> or Yahoo<\/a> things you don\u2019t want anyone to know. We\u2019re not lawyers, and we\u2019re not qualified to give you legal advice but this is what we got from reading Google\u2019s Terms of Services:<\/p>\n

“You retain ownership of any intellectual property rights that you hold in that content. In short, what belongs to you stays yours”.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

And technically, they\u2019re not lying. After you send an email through Gmail, you still own the information.<\/p>\n
